END OF AMENDMENT

Questions and Answers - Solicitation # 36C24418Q9343

1. Will the VA provide the operator with storage areas for operating supplies (Uniforms, Traffic cones, Go-Jacks, etc.)? If so, provide the size detail and location. At this time we do not, but that would be an area that could be discussed. Currently the traffic cones are stored outside and around the corner from the entrance.

1. Would the VA provide a shed with electric power for lighting, radios, computer, A/C, etc.? If not see question #1. The VA will not provide a shed. If the contractor wishes to provide a shed we would need to discuss details on electricity, radios computers, etc. You should not assume that the Government will approve the use of a shed. The current valet personnel are in an A/C area at their work station.

1. Can the operator provide a shed/office for the onsite manager office and storage? This will be located on a pre-approved area. See above, #2

1. If a shed is not provided or allowed, is there a workspace were the site manager can use? Can you provide details on this? The current manager works from the VA provided desk/workstation. Any further work area/space would have to be discussed and approved.

1. What is the policy when the valet parking is full? We have not experienced this in the past 4 years. If full a sign stating such would need to be posted for users to see.

1. How often does it fill per day? Please provide detail. The Valet lot is not filled at any time throughout the day. There has not been that much volume to fill the entire lot.

1. Is the valet required to stack park the vehicles or park them in the drive aisles? We do not require stack parking. The lot is large enough for the volume it receives.

1. If we are required to stack park in the aisles approximately how many cars in each aisle and how many aisles. See above #7.

1. Are the valet parking spaces numbered? No.

1. How many complaints have been filed against the current operator over the last 12 months? We do not share internal details on a contractor’s performance with their competitors. However, there are no major issues with the current contractor.

1. What are the current problems and issues with the valet parking? None.

1. How many signs for the valet parking are currently in place? Does the VA feel this is an adequate number or would they like more and where? Are the signs the property of the VA or the current operator? There are currently 2 Valet Parking signs in place. The VA feels that that is sufficient but any new signage must be approved through the Interior Design person assigned to the Facility Maintenance Section.

1. Is there a waiting area and or bench near the Valet staging area for the Veterans to sit? If so, please detail. Yes, there is seating inside of the vestibule area along with a lobby area close by if needed.

1. Is the valet lot dedicated only for valeted cars or is it shared? Where in the lot are we to park the valeted vehicles? The valet parking service currently owns the entire parking lot where the service would park vehicles. There may be discussions to share some parking spaces with assigned parked vehicles.

1. If the valet lot is shared, whom is it shared with and how is it segregated? If the lot were to be shared at a later time it would be discussed with the contracting officer and perimeters would be set. The VA would provide any additional equipment or traffic devices needed. This share would be with the VA employees and assigned and coordinated with the COR.

1. If the valet lot is segregated how is it segregated i.e. removable cones, cement barriers, etc and who is responsible for the items to segregate the lot? See above answer #15.

1. Is there any upcoming construction that will impact the number parking spaces on the campus? If so, please provide detail. There is a possibility of construction that may impact the Valet Service area. That would be discussed in advance with the contracting officer.

1. How many lanes are in the valet staging area and how many vehicles can each lane hold? There are three lanes in the Valet staging area with one of them designated not for Valet. That third lane is for buses and other larger vehicles along with pass through traffic.

1. Is the valet staging area shared with any other users? If so, how many lanes may the Valet use? The lanes may be shared with other drive up veterans/patients. The valet should attempt to keep their traffic in the two lanes previously mentioned in question #18.

1. What was the value of the last Option Period and what was the term? – We do not publicize contract modifications to existing contracts, but we do post the initial contract award. The current contract was awarded in Sep 2013 with a five-year value of $2,208,000.

File details come from the government source that posted it.
