SCOPE OF WORK
The objective of this acquisition is to provide comprehensive planning, inspection, Survey, design, and construction management services to evaluate the condition of the existing building 5 roof concrete deck and to determine and develop the necessary construction design for the needed repairs and replacement for the concrete spans that may be at failure risk based on the assessment findings. The scope also includes revising the building 5 roof replacement design documents and integrating all required information into one complete, coordinated, and biddable set of documents for the building 5 roof replacement and roof-deck improvement/repair project.
Scope or Tasks (for services):
Identifying and designing an appropriate solution for the building 5 concrete roof deck repair and replacement which showed signs of deterioration in mid-2025. The scope of work is to perform comprehensive site survey, investigative testing and visual inspection to assess the extent of damage of the existing roof deck and determine whether localized repair is sufficient or is full roof deck replacement is required. Evaluating the condition of the structural trusses supporting the existing roof deck will be included in the investigation. Any required truss repairs identified during this assessment will be incorporated into the final design recommendations. The scope will also include any necessary destructive investigation to access concealed conditions— such as areas above plaster ceilings or suspended acoustic ceiling tiles—followed by restoration of all disturbed areas to their original condition.
