About this file

This is a Sources Sought Notice issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network 2 (VISN 02), seeking information about potential qualified sources for procurement of one borescope and associated accessories. The VA intends to use this market research to inform future acquisition decisions and may publish a formal solicitation following review of responses. This notice is not a binding solicitation, and responses submitted are not offers that can form contracts; however, the VA explicitly encourages submission of pricing, capabilities, and market information in accordance with FAR 15.201(e).

The borescope must serve as a visual inspection method for channeled/lumened instruments and scopes currently in use at the Brooklyn Campus facility. The equipment will be utilized in sterilization processing services (SPS) to verify that instruments are free of residual bioburden before use. Responses are sought from sources within NAICS code 339113 (Medical, Dental, and Surgical Instrument Manufacturing), with a small business size standard of 800 employees. Prospective offerors should note that all submitted information will be treated as proprietary, and respondents bear all expenses associated with preparing and submitting their responses. Additional component specifications and detailed requirements are referenced in the full procurement document but not fully detailed in the excerpt provided.

The requested items are as follows:

· Flexible Inspection Scope (FIS; FIS-007) with USB Control Box Kit and 1.9mm catheter

· Provides enhanced light, vision, and magnification.

· Offers users the option of documenting high-quality photos and videos of lumens and crevices not visible to the unaided eye using Scope Viewer Software. The Scope Viewer Software is included with the USB Control Box version of the borescope and is compatible with Windows 11 PCs. · VESA Adapter plate for the FIS-007 Mobile Cart – a 75mm adapter with a maximum tablet/display weight of 12 lbs (5.5kg)
