About this file

This is a Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) for an intent to extend infectious disease testing supply services. The DVA's Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 02, specifically the Bronx and Northport VA Medical Centers, plans to extend the current Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) 36C24224A0027 with incumbent contractor BioMerieux Inc. for six months, from October 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026. The extension will provide DVA additional time to survey the market, assess vendor capabilities, and explore potential competition.

Key details include a response deadline of September 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, with interested parties invited to submit capability statements to Contracting Officer Lindsay Goldsmith. The procurement will be conducted under FAR Part 8 procedures, with an anticipated award in December 2026. While this is not a formal request for quotes, the government will consider submitted capability statements, with the final determination of competition at its sole discretion. The Product Service Code is 6550, and the NAICS Code is 334516, suggesting the services are related to medical diagnostic equipment or testing supplies.
