NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to sole source a contract for the purchase of SHOCKWAVE Medical Intravascular Lithotripsy, M5 IVL catheters for the following medical center:

Syracuse VA Medical Center 800 Irving Avenue Syracuse, NY 13210-2716 The objective of this sole source award is for a firm fixed price contract with SHOCKWAVE Medical, Inc. This sole source determination is in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition, procedures and in accordance with 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. SHOCKWAVE Medical, Inc. is the only known authorized supplier and servicing agent for Shockwave M5 IVL Catheters.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339112 and the size standard is 1,000 employees.

No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Interested vendors that can meet this requirement, should identify their interest and capability, and respond to this notice by 4:00pm Eastern Standard Time on February 5th, 2024. Interested vendors must send a capability statement, no more than one page in length; to include Company Name, UEI Number, Socioeconomic Category, brief description of your business entities capability to provide these items.

All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be sent via email to the Contract Specialist Lorraine.Hussain@va.gov and will consider responses received by 4:00pm Eastern Standard Time on February 5TH , 2024. Facsimile or telephonic responses will not be accepted.

Simply responding as an “interested party” does not constitute your company as a source.

Offeror must provide the above requested information.

A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
