The systems shall be maintained, serviced, and operated in full accordance with all manufacturer’s requirements and guidelines. The vendor shall retain ownership of the systems and be 100% responsible to ensure continuous effective operation. All applicable licenses and permits shall be submitted with offer to include conformance with Subpart 5-1 of the New York State Sanitary Code.
The systems shall generate monochloramine by adding sodium hypochlorite and ammonium sulfate precursors to the water flow via precision metering pumps. The monochloramine concentrations in hot water loops shall be monitored with real time on-line sensors. The monochloramine concentration in domestic water shall be maintained at a minimum of 0.5 milligrams per liter (mg/L) and shall be adjusted upward as needed to effectively achieve legionella prevention. The systems shall have proper controls and fail safes to ensure that monochloramine levels do not exceed the maximum setpoint of 3.5 mg/L at any time.
B. The Contractor shall provide:
a. Vendor shall provide and deliver to the Syracuse VAMC, new monochloramine water treatment systems as specified for two locations as follows:
