STATEMENT OF WORK
A. GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Title of Project:
Rental of One 1,000 kW, 480v Trailer Mounted Diesel Generator with Fuel on an as needed basis.
2. Scope of Work:
The vendor shall provide all labor, materials, and supervision required to provide, install and uninstall one 1,000 kW, 480v trailer mounted diesel generator with fuel on an as needed basis. This request is for a base period from time of award to the end of the fiscal year plus four (4) one-year option periods.
3. Background:
The main generator that provides service to the Medical Center, located in Building 200, is out of service. The main generator has failed and repairs are on-going. The vendor who provides maintenance and repair services to this generator has determined that the voltage regulator needs to be replaced. This vendor ordered the voltage regulator and the lead time for the part was six (6) weeks. The voltage regulator was replaced but the main generator remains inoperable. Since it remains unknown whether or not the main generator will be able to be placed back into service, a portable generator is required to be rented for an extended period of time. In addition, it has been determined that the existing vendor, who provides maintenance and repair services to the main generator, cannot be the same vendor who performs service to the main generator and who provides a rental generator. One 1000kW, 480V trailer mounted diesel generator with fuel is required to be rented on an as needed basis. The base rental period plus four (4) option periods will allow time for further assessments and repairs to be made on the main generator.
4. Performance Period:
