Requests for Information – IFB No. 36C24219B0054

561-18-106 Upgrade of Sterile Processing Services (SPS) Dept.

Question 1: Can you please tell me the amount of the bid bond required for this project? Page

10 of the solicitation item 2.5 (c) seems to have that information omitted.

Response 1: The amount of the bid guarantee shall be 100% percent of the bid price...

Question 2: Drawing A105 has finish schedule but it does not inform the basis of design/manufacturer name and item number/model number for ACT, BR, CHR, CG, GWC, HR, LVT, PWC, RES, SF, VB, VCT, WSF, and WP. Please provide all the details. Usually there is spec section number 09 06 00 'schedule for finishes' which lists all the details of the material/product for all the materials used in project. Please see attached is a sample of spec section 09 06 00 for another VA bid. This spec section is missing for this project from the spec book.

Response 2:

The Finishes are specified in Division 9 – Finishes as follows:

Res – 096723 GWC – 099659

WSF – 096516 PT – 099100

VCT – 096519 ACT – 095100

VB – 096513

The Wall Protection is specified in Division 10 – Specialties as follows

CHR – 102600 BR – 102600

HR – 102600 PWC - 102600

Question 3: As per Demo Drawing, it shows the current flooring as to be removed. As per site visit there is epoxy floor, does the epoxy floor have to be removed to accommodate new flooring?

Response 3: See Demo Note D below from Demo Dwg. Only portions of the existing resinous flooring, base and wainscot are called to be removed that are required for new configuration

(accommodate new construction/partitions).
