Medical Gas Inspection Togus VAMC Solicitation # 36C24126Q0053
1. The solicitation indicates a base period of one year with four optional years. I want to ensure I understand the scope of work correctly. From my reading, it appears the requirement involves system inspections, and if any issues or faults are identified during inspection, our company would then be responsible for performing the necessary corrective actions. This contract should be for inspection only, generating a deficiency report of any findings.
2. However, on pages 2 and 3 of the solicitation, I only see a unit price and amount for each year covering inspections, with no line items outlined for potential repair work, parts, or labor beyond the inspection itself. Any addition work required will be a separate contract.
3. Could you please confirm whether any corrective work discovered during the inspection should be handled through a separate purchase order or quote submission, or if those costs should be incorporated within the initial proposal? Any corrective work necessary will be a separate purchase order or quote.
4. Can you please provide an inventory to include quantities as this will be helpful for us to determine time on site? An inventory of compressors, pumps, manifolds and oxygen supplies and which buildings they serve (if more than one building). Number of zone valves and area alarm panels, a count of master alarms, quantity of outlets and inlets. See attached.
5. What percentage of outlets are to be tested per year? 100% or 10% 100%
6. Will there be a requirement for the outlets to require cross connection verification and/or tested for purity? Comply with NFPA 99, 2024 edition Health Care Facilities Code
7. Can you provide the manufacturer, model and serial number for the med gas system? No
8. Can you provide the previous report so that we can verify the equipment list? Inventory list attached
9. What are the total quantities of patient terminals, area alarms, zone valves, master alarms, and sources (including bulk, cylinder manifold, pumps, and compressors) covered under this requirement? Inventory list attached
10. Is there a recent inspection report from the current vendor that can be shared to help identify the existing equipment and system configuration? Inventory list attached.
11. Could you please confirm whether the testing sites include Buildings 200, 200E, 207, and the two bulk oxygen systems, or if there are additional areas we should account for?
