Med Gas RFIs Questions and Answers
1. After review of the SOW, we read that “All inspections and testing shall be conducted by personnel who are MGPHO Credentialed Medical Gas Verifiers (CMGV).”
This is not a requirement we have ever seen on a VA SOW. We do have one person on staff that has this credential, but is this a requirement? It is not typically needed for this work.
Contractor must have a member of their organization who is MGPHO Credentialed.
1. The SOW states that “The work shall include providing a written outline of recommendations from NFPA 99, 2012 Edition.”
I assume this needs to be updated to the 2021 code. Please advise.
2012. Joint Commission does not require us to follow 2021 code.
1. Can you please clarify what this entails? Section C. “Biennial PM Service” This should say Biannual, not Biennial.
1. In the SOW section B. “The scope of work shall include the inspection of the system above on a semi-annual basis. System will be inspected and tested twice a year.”
We have not seen semi-annual testing of all systems in an SOW before, it is typically an annual requirement. Just want to confirm this.
Biannual.
1. Can you provide the accurate count of outlets, zone valves, panels, manifolds and tanks?
| 2 manifolds, 3 bulk oxygen tanks |
| See Attached: Valve and Outlet Count |
1. Will a bid bond be required with our submission?
No
