About this file

This is an amendment to solicitation 36C24125Q0206 that adds questions and answers regarding surgical instrument maintenance and repair services at the Togus VA Maine Healthcare Center. The amendment clarifies that offsite repairs should not be included in quotes and will be handled separately through individual purchase orders. A Statement of Work is being added as an attachment.

The original solicitation is for a 5-year Firm-Fixed-Price Requirements contract (2/1/2025-1/31/2030) for maintenance of 144 instrument trays (12 per month) and 45 case carts (4 per month), with approximately 12 service visits per year. This is an unrestricted solicitation under NAICS 811210 ($34M size standard). Quotes are due January 28, 2025 at 4:30 PM ET, with questions due by January 24, 2025. Award will be based on technical capability, past performance, price, and veterans involvement, using FAR 13 simplified acquisition procedures. The Department of Veterans Affairs will give evaluation credit to verified SDVOSBs and VOSBs.

DESCRIPTION

1. Question: On page 2 there is a reference to an attached Statement of Work, though the only document we noticed that was released with the RFQ is the Solicitation notice. Do you have a Statement of Work you can provide? Answer: See the SOW attached to this amendment.

1. Question: The RFQ mentions onsite repair but does not specify how more extensive or complex repairs, which may require offsite handling, should be managed. Given that the frequency of such repairs may vary each year, I am unsure how these offsite repair costs should be incorporated into the overall contract pricing. Could you please provide guidance on how you anticipate handling the payment for these types of repairs? Would there be a separate mechanism for pricing and invoicing offsite repairs, or should we account for them in some other way within the contract? Answer: Any offsite repair should not be included in the quote. Those will be handled on a case-by-case basis on separate purchase orders.
