About this file
This document is an Amendment for Request for Information (RFI) for a Department of Veterans Affairs architectural and engineering (A/E) design project to renovate Building 2 at the Central Western Massachusetts VA Medical Center in Leeds, MA. The project involves transforming approximately 14,000 square feet of existing interior space into an Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacy, Non-Sterile Compounding Room, and Emergency Cache, with a construction cost estimated between $10-$20 million.
Key details include a solicitation number of 36C24124R0106, with responses due by 1:00 PM Eastern Time on 06-11-2025. The project requires comprehensive A/E services, including developing complete drawings, specifications, cost estimates, site visits, and construction period administration. Respondents must submit SF330 qualification packages addressing specific evaluation criteria, with selection based on specialized experience, professional qualifications, past performance, and other factors. The A/E firm will need to meet VA design requirements, including pharmacy service design guidelines, security standards, historical preservation considerations, and compliance with various medical and safety codes.
