About this file

This document appears to be a Special Notice for a sole source procurement by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Integrated Service Network 1 (VISN 1). The VA intends to enter into a sole source contract with Fisher Scientific Company L.L.C. to provide specialized Next Generation Sequencing reagents and supplies for the Genexus instrumentation used at the VA Connecticut West Haven Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory. The required products include sequencing kits, chips, plates, pipette tips, panels, and other consumables. The annual quantities are provided, and pricing is to be FOB destination with 2-day shipping. The justification for the sole source award is that Fisher Scientific is the only manufacturer and distributor of these specialized materials. The VA reserves the right to add additional testing kits during the life of the agreement. Interested parties have the opportunity to provide evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government, but the decision to compete the procurement is solely at the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
