Annual Medical Gas Inspections
1. Can you provide a detailed inventory of the systems? Number or outlets, ZVB’s, Alarm Panels, Manifolds, etc.
Government Response: See attached annual inspections for three facilities.
2. Are the boom inspections following NFPA requirements of every 18 months or will this be annually?
Typically, we see it in option year 1 and option year 3.
Government Response: Currently, no booms with Operating Suites have any Medical Gas connections, all are located within the rooms on the wall. If this changes due to upgrades, the contract will be adjusted accordingly to provide inspections as recommended by NFPA.
3. Are the standard repairs part of the bid or separate? This can be difficult to quote when we don’t know the conditions of the systems. Hoses and hose parts that are designed and cleaned for Oxygen systems can be expensive. These should not be part of standard repairs.
Government Response: A separate line item can be added. Factor $5,000 per site for parts.
4. Are the Dew Point probes and CO sensors for the systems part of the annual repairs or part of the PM maintenance contract for the pumps and compressors?
Government Response: Dew point probes and CO sensors shall be apart of annual repair parts.
