About this file
This document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for the repair and refinishing of the interior stairwells in Building 1 at the Manchester VA Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire.
The project involves demolishing plaster and paint, then resurfacing and repainting the walls and ceilings of all four stairwells in the building. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will award one or more stairwells to a contractor, depending on factors such as funding and scheduling. The period of performance is 21 calendar days per stairwell after a Notice to Proceed is issued. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and other requirements to complete the work in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. There is a potential for lead-based paint remediation efforts, as the existing paint is suspected to contain lead. The contractor must also maintain site security and coordinate any disruptions to the medical center's 24/7 operations with the Contracting Officer's Representative.
