** AMENDMENT A00001 – Chemical Fume Hoods – West Haven & Newington VAMC
– Contractor Questions and Government Responses ** Please confirm receipt of this amendment in your solicitation response
Question 1.
Are you able to accept exceptions to certain aspects of the PWS as a part of a bid response?
Answer 1.
No, all bids must fully comply with the PWS.
Question 2.
The quantities in PWS Attachment 1 and Solicitation Attachment 2 do not match. Which should be used to bid?
Answer 2.
Solicitation Attachment 2 Cost-Price Schedule should be used to bid as it contains the correct quantities.
Question3.
The PWS requests that contractors maintain stock, our company does not stock parts, will this disqualify us from the bid?
Answer 3.
No, the PWS states “Contractor shall maintain a sufficient stock of all replacement parts meeting or exceeding the original manufacturer’s design and specification needed for routine repair and maintenance of the equipment or be able to secure needed parts within two (2) calendar days.” Maintaining stock is not required as long as parts can be secured within two calendar days.
