(BRAND NAME OR EQUAL)

• A high-resolution imaging system is required to capture full-face clinical photographs with sufficient spatial resolution (≤20 µm) to support detailed visual assessment and algorithmic analysis of facial skin lesions. At a working distance suitable for use in a dermatology clinic (i.e., 1–1.5 meters), the system must be capable of capturing the entire face in a single frame while maintaining sharp focus across curved facial contours.

• Feature a sensor large enough to maintain ~20 µm spatial resolution (equivalent to Group 5, Element 5 on the USAF 1951 resolution test target) across a ~200 mm facial width without cropping or stitching.

• Support in-body focus stacking to ensure depth-of-field coverage across the full face.

• Synchronize with studio flash systems for uniform, shadow-free illumination.

• Operate within a constrained clinical footprint suitable for dermatology exam rooms.

• Medium Format Sensor with Minimum 140 Megapixels

The system must include a medium format digital sensor with at least 140 megapixels, capable of capturing the entire face in a single image with a native resolution of 4 microns per pixel or better, to allow for identification and monitoring of subtle skin abnormalities during routine clinical evaluation.

• High-Bit Depth Image Capture with Minimum 12 Stops Dynamic Range

The system must capture images in 16-bit RAW format and support a minimum of 12 stops of dynamic range to ensure that both bright and shadowed areas of the face retain diagnostic detail in a single exposure. This level of range is critical in clinical dermatology where lesions, scars, and pigment changes often appear adjacent to highly reflective or unevenly lit areas (e.g., oily forehead next to shaded periorbital regions). Lower-range systems (e.g., those with ≤9–11 stops) risk either loss of detail in highlights (blowout) or clipping in shadows, which can obscure subtle clinical features, especially in patients with diverse skin tones or irregular surface texture.

Please submit responses by 12:00 AM Eastern Standard Time 04/23/2025. Please include Sources Sught# 36C24625Q0695 in subject title.
