PITC
5000 Wissahickon Ave Philadelphia, PA 19144 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), Philadelphia Information Technology Center (PITC) is seeking information from commercial industry regarding the ability of interested vendors to provide all labor, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to furnish and install two (2) 1,750-Kilowatt (minimum size) to 2,000 Kilowatt (maximum size) rental generator units with paralleling operation capability, ensuring that the generators are fully capable of startup and operation necessary to provide the facility with power should utility power be lost.
In addition, the potential effort would include that any interested vendor be able to furnish and install one (1) above-ground 4,000-gallon (minimum) diesel fuel storage tank with spill containment and alarm system controls and to connect temporary piping to each of the two 2.0MW temporary emergency generators installed on site. The interested vendor should also be able to provide bi-weekly testing of the rental generator units and be able to perform scheduled maintenance inspections and repair/replace rental generator units as necessary.
Rental generators are necessary to ensure the power generation system located at Philadelphia Information Technology Center will supply the facility with emergency power while the existing generator units are taken offline for repair efforts.
