The two-hour industry-led discussion will be in collaboration with the Office of Connected Care (OCC).
The SAC intends to gain a greater understanding of common industry practices, increase industry’s ability to bid on and deliver innovation, and the factors that influence a company’s “price to win” strategy. The discussion aims to hear perspectives, conflicts of interest, price realism, and more to assist the Government in developing a new acquisition strategy to procure these items, while maximizing small business participation.
This Reverse Industry Day welcomes and encourages all socio-economic categories to attend to provide insight to the Government.
Reverse Industry Day:
Expected to be held virtually via Teams on Wednesday, August 21st from 1:00 – 3:00pm/ET. This Reverse Industry Day will allow for question-and-answer periods, scheduling and logistics with the Contracting Team, and discussions of requested industry capabilities.

Acquisition Transparency:
It is sometimes difficult to apply innovative procurement approaches to enterprise-wide needs. Industry may be able to provide better procurement approaches, or at least perspectives, to this audience.
The SAC office aims to encourage transparency during the acquisition process by providing early disclosure of cost estimates to include the anticipated cost. The intent is to streamline proposal development and enable the Government a more comprehensive understanding of industry capabilities and how they align with Government needs.
Notice: The Government intends to answer all questions but cannot guarantee a response. Duplicated questions, or closely related questions, will be answered with one response. This allows the Government to collect, analyze, and respond to industry accordingly, within a reasonable timeframe.
This provides the Government with realistic perspectives and data to ensure industry partners understand the anticipated magnitude of effort to enable an informed decision.
Expected time frame for solicitation: FY25
Expected Period of Performance: Five Years after contract award (multi-year contract)
Expected contract value (not to exceed): $500 million
CCPC Background:
VA’s Connected Care technology network is an enterprise-wide, complex, and diverse system for distributing, supporting, and sustaining health care and related services. The scale of the program and its basis is unique, VA-developed products require highly specialized industry support to successfully perform, implement, and execute at the scope and complexity required.
Connected Care is defined as using electronic information or telecommunications technologies to support health care delivery, patient and professional health-related education, public health, and health administration at a distance. “Connected Care products” are defined as the combined VA ecosystem of clinical video equipment and software; store and forward technologies; web and mobile health applications;
software- as-a-service (SaaS) technologies; commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products; mobile medical devices, peripherals, and wearables; remote patient monitoring technologies; online health portals; future connected care technologies; and ancillary items.
The CCPC procurement is a key element in the program’s success as the contract will provide the mechanism to supply Connected Care products for distribution to VHA facilities in the United States (US), US Territories, and Freely Associated States.
The previous solicitation and Statement of Work has been included for reference along with the CCPC Product List, Attachment 1, which includes all supplies that may be procured for this anticipated requirement. This product list is current as of the date of this posting; however, is subject to change. Predominately, most items to be procured are brand name and is necessary for continued, uninterrupted support to the Telehealth ecosystem of products and services.
