About this file
This document is a Sources Sought notice for a federal contract opportunity to design and construct a new 7,500 square foot animal research facility to replace two seismically deficient buildings at the Sepulveda VA Medical Center in North Hills, California. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information on the interest, capabilities, and qualifications of small businesses, including small disadvantaged, HUBZone, EDWOSB, and SDVOSB firms, to participate in this design-build project. The work includes demolishing the existing buildings, constructing the new addition to meet Mission Critical, Critical Facility, and Research Facility requirements, and achieving LEED Silver certification. Responses are due by June 3, 2024 and should include details on the firm's business size and category, as well as up to three relevant design-build project examples. The government will use the responses to determine the appropriate level of small business participation and develop the acquisition strategy for a forthcoming Request for Proposal.
