Q - Is this a new contract or an existing contract?

A – This is a new contract.

Q - If this is an existing contract, who is the incumbent vendor and what is the existing contract number, dollar amount, and period of performance?

A – Not an existing contract. There is no incumbent. There is no contract number, dollar amount or period of performance.

Q Will the contract have a 120-day base plus 120-day option period of performance, or will it be longer? If longer, please describe.

A – This contract will have a base plus four option period of performance. Each period is a year in length.

Q - How many days on average is the security and fingerprinting process at the Houston VARO?

A – This varies in each situation.

Q - How many Full Time Equivalents (FTE) are currently needed to perform these services?

A – One Reader must be available to provide services when requested by the VA Employee.

Q - Do the FTEs need to be American citizens or are permanent residents acceptable?

A – Yes, American citizens

A – Yes, this is expected to remain remote for the duration of the contract.
