The purpose of this amendment is to clarify a previously asked question.
1. Page 6 The Reno Regional Office (RO) and is satellite office in Las Vegas require Mail Processing Machines to support the RO’s mission to include priority shipping. Contractor is to provide service/maintenance and emergency repair for all equipment needed for processing outgoing letters, parcels and packages.
In order to support the VA mission to include priority shipping is it a requirement that the proposed solution for both locations allow the VA to take advantage of USPS discounts available to the VA for priority shipping which include Commercial Plus Pricing discounts by using a full service IMpb label?
THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION SHOULD BE NO. THE VA HANDLES ALL PRIORTY SHIPMENTS ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS AND PAYS FOR THEM AS NEEDED. CONTRACTOR DOES NOT DO PRIORITY SHIPMENTS. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE LEASE OF MACHINES AND MAINTENANCE ONLY.
