Answers to vendor questions:
I am assuming that there may be electrical work that needs to be done at take down and on the new cubicles and walls, can you confirm if this will be required?
YES, current cubicles are wired and connected to through points in walls.
Also, in the verbiage below it states that we can only work M-Fri. from 5pm -8:30pm each night, which is only 3 ½ hours each day and all overtime. Is this correct?
“All work will be completed M-F after hours 5pm-8:30pm with exceptions of Federal holiday or weather emergencies” Yes, Due to noise, work must be completed after hours. Building is only open and manned by security until 9pm when all lights, HVAC and other systems are auto shut down.
What type of ceiling are we connecting the walls too? If it is an acoustical grid ceiling can you let us know the grid size so we can specify the correct bracketry? acoustical grid 2’x2’ Is power needed in the demountable walls? If so, how much and where? Yes, at least 4 along bottom and 4 along wall, around top of desk Should the demountable wall doors be locking or non-locking? locking We cannot do laminate doors in Privacy Wall. We can quote veneer doors, is that acceptable? yes The description notes 66” high tackable panel with 18” high glass extension. That equals 114” high. The total height of the existing cubicle walls are 81” (63” panel and 18” glass extension. We request approx the same height for the cubicles with the glass extensions.
The wall elevations are 119” high and do not show glass. If you are referring to the 2nd part of the project, there will not be any windows in those walls.
Please confirm ceiling height and whether there should be glass for both offices. (Project 0 – remove existing office cubicle, Project 1 – Install twin office cubicles & furniture, Project 2 – Install floor to ceiling walls {no windows}{window in office door} & furniture to create office) Is there a loading dock? YES Is there an elevator if we have to access an upper floor for installation? Yes Can all product be delivered/installed in one continuous phase? Yes If you have internal phasing that is required, can you please forward? No phasing The number of phases impacts installation pricing.
For the existing furniture for us to demo, can you please provide a drawing, pictures or list of product? Below Are we to dispose of this existing product or put in your on-site storage? Dispose Can you provide a CAD? None available
