About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for an RFI regarding Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) software for Medical Claims Processing (solicitation #36C10B25Q0125) issued by the VA Technology Acquisition Center.
The VA is seeking software-only solutions that can be hosted at FSC or provided as a SaaS solution. The main users will be program offices in VHA and FSC, accessing the system through API connections or web-based service calls to their claims processing system. While the exact user count hasn't been determined, they estimate no more than 200 users. The solution should be compatible with Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL, or Oracle databases. The response deadline has been extended to February 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST. The document explicitly notes this is for market research purposes only.

Q&A: Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) software for Medical Claims Processing - 36C10B25Q0125
1. How many sites? Could you kindly clarify how many hospital sites the VA anticipates implementing this software solution? No hospital sites; mainly hosted at FSC or SaaS solution. Program offices in VHA and FSC would be main users, using an automated process, such as API connection or web-based service call, to our claims processing system. For number of users, I would say no more than 200 (extremely high side), but we haven’t decided that yet. We are looking to see what industry capabilities are before making this decision
1. Is there a number of total users that would need access to the application? Has not been decided yet, however, Program offices in VHA and FSC would be main users
1. How many concurrent users does VA expect to have on this Solution? Has not been decided yet, however, Program offices in VHA and FSC would be main users
1. Can vendors leverage any of the following VA database to support the Solution’s workflow component?
1. Azure SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Databases
DB2
MySQL Oracle PostgreSQL Teradata Mainly Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL or Oracle databases.
Would the VA consider extending the period to submit a response to February 6, 2025? The RFI has been extended until 15 February 2025 at 2:00PM EST.
1. Is this for software only? Yes
