REQUEST FOR QUOTATION 36C10A23Q0023

AMENDMENT 0001

1. How many kiosks are currently installed and how many new ones do you need quoted? It is not clear in the RFP how many kiosks are planning to be purchased, and when these would be planned to be installed.

· Government Response: Currently we VA hashave 111 kiosks installed. We VAare is planning 4 new installs for the first year in the contract.

2. Can you provide a delivery schedule for the through wall, and indoor kiosks, as instructed?

· Government Response: All first-year deliveries will be through the wall. 90% of all future deliveries of kiosk will be through the wall.

3. Does the VA/CMA require software to be included with the solution? This is not mentioned other than in FAR requirements in the RFP, but I wanted to confirm.

· Government Response: There is no software requirement by contractor. However, contractor will be responsible for weekly update for Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. NCA will provide a Zip file via email each Thursday.

4. Are you expecting some type of touchscreen to be installed in the kiosk, and then accommodate a Dell E6440 or equivalent (to be provided by VA)?

· Government Response: Yes. Currently, NCA is using Dell Latitude 5400 and Dell E6440 series. New touchscreens should be capable of connecting via VGA, HDMI and display port to meet current and future technology.

5. Can you confirm the type of Dell PC that will be used in the kiosks?

· Government Response: Currently, NCA is using Dell Latitude 5400 and Dell E6400 series.

6. You also need touch screen retrofits, what size and what type? Are these to be completed on existing units in the field today? Please explain further.

· Government Response: Currently we are usingVA uses 15- and 17-inch touch screens at our the cemeteries. The contractor would be is responsible for replacing these are as they become inoperable due to normal wear.

7. The RFP mentions that products shall be delivered within 30 days and installation shall be completed within 5 days after delivery. Does this mean that upon approval from VA, the kiosks need to be delivered or can the production schedule be adjusted to accommodate production lead times? FYI, current lead times are roughly 100 days after order submission.

· Government Response: The “products shall be delivered within 30 days and installation shall be completed w/in 5 days after delivery” references products which is tied in to the Replacement Parts Task of the contract. The New “Order” Task (New Construction Task) yes, the vendor is given instructions on lead time which will be specified in the actual awarded task: verbiage i.e. “Install By – Within 90 days from the Award Date provided.”

8. Additional questions:

a) Looks like the Dell E6440 (14" laptop) is no longer available so you must have an inventory of those.

b) I wonder which version of Windows 7 they are running (possibly 32-bit) Windows 7 support ended in early 2020 –

c) I wonder if you have a secure lockdown to prevent

d) intrusions. Something like Sitekiosk or KioWare works much better than trying to tune in MS

e) kiosk mode/assigned access.

f) Accessibility -- are there any plans to include accessible devices such as Storm Interface

g) AudioPad?

h) Accessibility - any plans for screen reader and/or magnifier for application

i) Accessibility - will you want speakers hooked up to the audio jack?

j) How big of a touchscreen?

k) Remote monitoring and CMS solution needed or are you going ad-hoc?

l) Any braille or other tactile navigation

· Government Response to above additional questions : VA is aware of and responsible for all Ssoftware requirements, not the vendorcontractor. There are nNo plans requirements for screen readers, or magnifier for application, speakers or audio jacks. The touchscreen specs are provided in the in above first set of answers. The contractor shall Nothing other than HW will the vendor need to only provide hardware as specified in the PWS, there are no software requirements involved. There are no requirements for Bbraille or tactile navigation from the vendor will not be needed.
