| 504B07012 | Contained within the list of requirements for XR Portable Radiographic system for VISN 17 Amarillo VAMC is the following technical requirement,a.) High frequency generator power is noted as 40kW. | ||
| As such, can you please clarify if the use of a 40KW generator is meant to represent a minimum specification? If so, we would respectfully request that this specification be amended to reflect a 32KW generator or above which is in line with industry standards. Reason being, if this most unusual specification is not changed it will result in a lock out spec that will eliminate FMSU and other vendors from being able to respond and compete for this digital portable system. For example, our GO Plus portable system contains a 32KW generator and we have a very large installed base of our GO Plus digital portable systems here in the U.S. and abroad and have never experienced any clinical issues whatsoever concerning the ability to generate the necessary power for any standard and advanced imaging applications with our portable system | Tech specs have been updated to 32kW. | ||
| 504B07012 | Amarillo Portable Rad – Section 1.a. High frequency Generator Power 40 kW. | ||

The secondary monitor is much larger than a tube head display which is ideal for physician review and image manipulation. | Collapsible column is preferred. | ||
| 504B07012 | Amarillo Portable Rad – Section 2.aa. Display monitor at tube head | ||
| Question: In order to allow for full competition, please change this spec to read Display Monitor…please remove the Tube Head language. | Tech specs have been updated to remove language. | ||

| 674B00244 | 1k – Please remove maximum tube reach. Having a maximum tube reach doesn’t make sense. Having longer tube reach cannot ever hurt. If the site wants a 47” tube reach, then the site can simply extend the tube to 47”. Having a longer tube reach does not negatively impact the user. | ||
| 1ii – Please remove the requirement or increase to 1200 lbs. There is no technical or facility-specific reason for limiting the weight to 1000 lbs. Minimum requirements for elevator weight capacity is 1800 - 2100 lbs, depending on the size of the facility. The spec is a direct pull from the Shimadzu spec sheet. | 1. | Accepted. | |

| 674B00244 | Please advise if a Keypad or an RFID unit is preferred for security access to the system. | Keypad, no RFID unit. | |
| 436B00014 | 2d – Please change Maximum radiographic mA exposure @100kVp from 630 to 800. 800 is the industry standard for high efficiency generators; this appears to be a vendor-specific offering. There is no reason why a facility would want anything less than what the maximum allowable is (800), as the mA can be reduced to whatever is desired at various kVp. |
2k – There is only one known vendor who offers a 100 micron 17”x17” detector, which is unduly limiting on competition. Please re-state the requirement to provide for a range (150um to 100um). As stated, the requirement is that only 100um or below will be accepted, as resolution is measured as the lower the um the more resolution.
4c – Please reduce the Minimum Acquisition Workstation requirement size to 250GB. Given all vendors utilize a first-in-first-out method of clearing HD space, 1TB HD size is unnecessary from a technical and expense perspective, particularly at a CBOC location that is not a major medical center. Further, if a vendor offers 1TB, they can get credit for exceeding the minimum.
Trade-in – Please confirm there is no trade-in 2d: Tech specs have been updated to 800 2K: for image quality we would like 100 micron spec 4c: agree change to 320 GB min New space no trade in
