ESB Government Camp Maintenance Station Waterline Upgrade to PEX

Question 1: Can we reduce the main water line from 2” down to 1 ½” PEX?

Answer: No, the pipe size will remain 2”.

Question 2: The bid documents show bedding the water line in 6” of sand and then backfilling the remaining 30” of trench with ¾” ‐ 0” rock up to grade. Since all the excavation will not be under asphalt/drive areas and is in landscaped areas, will it be acceptable to backfill the trenched areas with the native fill that we excavate out of the trenches?

Answer: Native material is accepted to backfill trenches on top of sand pipe cover.
