Attachment A: Bombardier Challenger Requirements

1 Challenger Aircraft Designations The FAA is assessing three used Challenger options to meet requirements:

CL-605: Challenger 605 aircraft without Avionics Upgrade Service Bulletins (SB). Serial numbers 5701 to 5990.

CL-605(SB): Challenger 605 aircraft with one to all of the Avionics Upgrade SBs installed.

CL-650: All the Avionics Upgrade SBs. Newly manufactured via block point change on the assembly line and denoted as serial number 6050 and subsequent.

The age of the aircraft and flight hours will also be considered and weighed against the avionics equipment installed.

The Avionics Upgrade SBs are estimated between $1.2 and $2 million per CL-605 depending on the number of SB to be installed. The effort is estimated to take 45-60 days to install. Section 3 of this document contains a list of all Service Bulletins installed on existing FAA Challenger 605 aircraft. Any acquired CL-605 will need to be updated with all of these Service Bulletins.

2 Challenger Requirements The Challenger 605/650 aircraft must have the following capabilities:

Propulsion: Turbojet

Min Cruise: 0.77M

Minimum Range: 3,500NM

Min Service Ceiling: FL410

Cabin Configuration: The FAA does not require aircraft with highly customized interiors.

Flight Deck Avionics: Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Advanced Package
