About this file
This is a Salient Characteristics Sheet for a custom architectural laminate slatwall paneling system. The requirement is for a professional entryway display to cover the wall in front of the new 316 Operations Support Squadron (316 OSS) Command Suite at a military facility. The system must feature integrated aluminum channels for modular mounting to accommodate personnel photos and award recognition without requiring drilling.
The physical specifications include architectural laminate slatwall panels in #1861 SEI Blu Notte finish (ABET) in four sizes totaling six panels, cut photo acrylic plaques (48 sets measuring 7.5"x9.5" for award winners and 8 sets measuring 11"x13.5" for command team leadership), direct-print clear acrylic nameplates with slatwall hardware in two sizes (24 sets of 7.5"x2" and 4 sets of 11"x2"), metallic silver acrylic letters in multiple sizes to identify the squadron and award categories, and a 30"x30" digital print of the squadron patch. The essential requirement is that all materials, finishes, and hardware must be an exact match to existing custom slatwall paneling currently installed for the 316 OSS and 1 Helicopter Squadron (1HS) Command Suites to ensure uniform hallway appearance and interchangeability of modular mounting hardware. The new paneling is necessitated because the 316 OSS Command Suite is relocating across the hallway, requiring new dimensions, while the current paneling will be repurposed by a newly established flying squadron joining the 316 Operations Group.

Salient Characteristics Sheet
Describe the requested item(s) in salient terms: Custom architectural laminate slatwall paneling system to cover the wall in front of the new 316 OSS command suite. The system must feature integrated aluminum channels for modular mounting and include a dedicated section for the command team and outstanding performers (quarterly and annual award winners). It must seamlessly match the specific millwork, finishes, and hardware of the legacy installations currently in the hallway.
Physical characteristics =
1. Architectural laminate slatwall panels in #1861 SEI, Blu Notte (ABET).

Essential Characteristics = Must be an exact architectural, material, and aesthetic match to the custom slatwall paneling currently installed in front of the 316 Operations Support Squadron (316 OSS) Command Suite and the 1 Helicopter Squadron (1HS) Command Suite. Materials must be identical commercial millwork grade to ensure uniform hallway appearance and allow interchangeable use of the modular slatwall mounting hardware.
Functions to be performed = The 316 OSS Command Suite is being moved across the hall to accommodate a new flying squadron being stood up to join the 316 OG. The current paneling cannot be reused because the wall dimensions are different, and the new squadron will be able to repurpose the current paneling. This new wall paneling will convert the plain wall in front of the new 316 OSS Command Suite into a professional entryway that will perfectly match the architectural footprint currently in the same hallway for the other two squadrons in the 316 OG, while utilizing the aluminum slatwall system for continuous, drill-free updates to personnel photos.
