STATEMENT OF WORK

1. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment to perform semi-annual tree pruning services on the following trees:

a. Coconut Trees: 77 each

b. Date Palm Trees: 20 each

c. Royal Palm Trees: 4 each

Specific location for each tree will be confirmed with the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) at the site visit.

2. Following contract award the Contractor shall coordinate a tentative service schedule with the COTR. Before performance each service, the Contractor will meet with the COTR to discuss the site access and any pertinent issues the Contractor may need to be aware of. No work shall commence before the COTR has granted approval to the Contractor.

3. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing all clippings and debris produced from the pruning service from the sidewalk, roadways, sloped areas, and paved areas before starting work in another area.

4. The Contractor shall promptly remove all debris and dispose of it off base to an authorized disposal site in accordance with State, Federal, and local regulation. The Contractor shall be responsible for all expenses incurred from the collection and disposal of clippings and debris produced from the service provided.

5. The Contractor shall supply all equipment required to perform the pruning service. Equipment shall be standard to the landscaping pruning industry and of suitable size and capacity with All Safety Equipment and blade guards in place. Contractor shall accomplish the task in a timely manner.

6. The area that will be trimmed shall be coned off and secured so that all traffic can be rerouted around designated areas. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all personnel passing near the work area.

7. The USCG Base Honolulu has a water sprinkler system installed in the landscape areas of the work site. All vehicles the Contractor may be using to perform the pruning service shall be approved for clearance by the COTR before they are driven onto the grassy areas. Payment for any damage to USCG sprinkler system, caused by non-compliance with this clause, shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.

8. The Contractor shall be licensed and registered by the State of Hawaii to perform the required pruning service. All Federal, State, and Local regulations shall be adhered too. Contractor’s Workman’s Compensation and Liability insurance shall be current during the contract service period.

9. The Contractor shall visit the site of the work to confirm their understanding of the nature and location of the work; the general and local conditions; accessibility to the location where work must be perform; location of water/irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, electrical conduit, installed equipment and other items affecting the performance of this contract.

10. The contractor work shall be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am. and 4:00 pm. (08:00-1600 hours).
