About this file
This is a proposal form for a bid submission to Columbia County, Georgia for the Hunter's Ridge Lift Station Replacement project (2026019-BID5100). The project involves replacement of the existing Hunter's Ridge Lift Station and modifications to existing piping infrastructure. The bid schedule includes 22 line items covering mobilization, demolition and removal, forcemain piping in various sizes (4" PVC, 4" and 8" RJ EDIP, and 10" steel casing), tees, valves, standpipes, water service connections, a new duplex submersible lift station, site restoration work including asphalt and concrete replacement, environmental controls such as silt fence and temporary grassing, and contingency items for rock excavation and unsuitable material removal. Estimated quantities range from 0.1 acres for clearing and grubbing to 220 linear feet for silt fence installation. Bidders are required to submit unit prices for each line item, which will be multiplied by the estimated quantities to determine the estimated total price for bid comparison purposes. Bid bonds or certified checks must accompany proposals, and the successful bidder must execute the Articles of Agreement and Bonds within ten days of contract award notification or forfeit the bid security as liquidated damages.
The bid is structured as a unit price contract rather than a lump sum bid, with all estimated quantities designated as approximate and subject to increase or decrease during project execution. Unit prices established at bid opening cannot be changed, and the final contract amount will be adjusted based on actual quantities used multiplied by the bid unit prices. Bidders are responsible for verifying all mathematical calculations in their proposals, though the Owner will review and correct any calculation errors before determining the low bid. The Owner reserves the right to add additional work within the general scope at the bid unit prices and may cancel the contract at any time if work is no longer desired, with no claims permitted for anticipated profits on quantity decreases or cancellations.

WRITTEN IN WORDS
Which amount is subject to increase or decrease based on the actual amount of quantities used multiplied by the Unit Price Bid for each item. The low bid will be determined based on the Estimated Total Price as determined after corrections are made to any mathematical errors made in multiplying the estimated quantity by the Unit Price Bid or in adding up each calculation to reach the Estimated Total Price.
This Contract is NOT a “lump sum bid.” The Owner has provided estimated quantities which are included as to certain items in the Proposal. For purposes of comparing the bids, the estimated quantities will be multiplied by the Unit Prices bid for each particular item resulting in an Estimated Cost. The estimated quantities are approximations, and are not guaranteed. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to check all mathematical calculations that make up the Total Estimated Price, to be sure that no mathematical errors were made in multiplying the estimated quantity by the Unit Price that is bid and in adding up the Estimated Costs.
After the opening of the bids, the Owner will check the mathematical calculations of each proposal and if there are any mistakes made in multiplying the estimated quantity by the Unit Price bid, the Owner will correct that
