About this file
Summary of Product Specifications Document
This is a product specifications document for Milwaukee County Mitchell International Airport in Wisconsin, detailing requirements for the procurement of three new electric micro slim slab scissor lifts. The equipment must meet or exceed minimum performance standards including an 800-pound platform capacity, 2-person personnel rating, and 25 percent gradeability. The scissor lifts are designed for indoor and outdoor use in restricted spaces and building interiors, with the ability to pass through standard commercial doorways. Required working heights are a minimum of 25.7 feet indoors and 21 feet outdoors, with stowed heights not exceeding 78.7 inches. The specification is performance-based and non-proprietary, allowing any manufacturer's product that meets or exceeds stated requirements to be considered as equivalent. Bidders must provide comprehensive descriptive literature and technical data demonstrating conformance to all minimum requirements, with the Owner reserving the right to determine equivalency.
The specification includes detailed requirements for electric drive systems with proportional controls, raise and lower speeds of approximately 25 and 20 seconds respectively, and a maintenance-free battery system of approximately 210 Ah capacity with an onboard automatic charger. Equipment must comply with applicable ANSI and CSA standards for mobile elevating work platforms and include numerous safety features such as emergency stop controls, non-skid platform surfaces, descent alarms, automatic parking brakes, and hydraulic leak containment systems. Tire specifications require non-marking indoor-suitable tires, and the maximum machine weight is approximately 3,640 pounds. A minimum 1-year warranty on defective components and 5-year warranty on structural components are required, with battery warranty not less than 90 days or the manufacturer's standard, whichever is greater. Units shall be delivered FOB destination to 5300 S. Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, fully assembled and ready for operation with all documentation including operator's manuals, service manuals, and warranty registration information provided at delivery.
