About this file
This is a product specification document for Milwaukee County Mitchell International Airport outlining requirements for the procurement of one new electric micro slim slab scissor lift. The lift must meet minimum performance standards including a 550-pound platform capacity, ability to accommodate two personnel, 25 percent gradeability, and electric proportional drive and control systems. The specification establishes working height requirements of 31 feet minimum for indoor use and 24 feet minimum for outdoor use, with corresponding platform heights of 25 feet and 18 feet respectively. The stowed height cannot exceed 90.3 inches to permit passage through standard commercial doorways. The unit must feature a rollout deck extension with incremental locking positions, a full-height swing gate for safe platform access, and a minimum of two lanyard attachment points. The equipment is intended for delivery FOB destination to 5300 S. Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, fully assembled and ready for operation.
The specification is performance-based and nonproprietary, permitting any manufacturer's product meeting or exceeding all stated requirements to be considered equivalent. Bidders must submit manufacturer's published specifications, documentation of safety and standards compliance, warranty terms, and standard and optional features being supplied. The unit must include a maintenance-free AGM-type battery system with minimum 240 ampere-hour capacity, automatic onboard charger, proportional controls with removable upper control box, nonmarking tires suitable for indoor use, and comprehensive safety features including emergency stop controls, descent alarm, drive-speed interlock, automatic parking brakes, and laser perimeter lighting. Warranty requirements include a minimum one-year warranty on defective components and five-year warranty on structural components, with battery coverage of not less than 90 days or the manufacturer's standard, whichever is greater. Delivery documentation must include operator's manual, service and maintenance manual, warranty registration information, and all keys and control devices. The maximum machine weight is approximately 4,190 pounds.
