The parties acknowledge and agree that the damages to the COUNTY associated with any delay in completion of the Project are not readily ascertainable as of the time of execution of this Agreement, and concur that the sum of $ ___ per diem, bears a reasonable relationship to the actual damages which the COUNTY would suffer as a consequence of any such delay in completion of the Work. The CONTRACTOR understands and agrees that this Agreement is conditioned upon the veracity of this Statement of Assurance. Furthermore, the CONTRACTOR herein assures the COUNTY that said CONTRACTOR shall comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 when any Federal grant is involved. Other applicable Federal and State laws, executive orders and regulations prohibiting the type of discrimination as hereinabove delineated are included by this reference thereto.
