To whom it may concern:
COVID-19 is an infectious disease that has caused sickness and death around the world and in the United States of America. This disease is in the form of a virus and is primarily spread by person-to person transmission. This letter mandates actions to reduce the risk of spreading this virus.
Contract employees must comply with Federal (Center for Disease Control (CDC)) and State (Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH)) guidelines related to, but not limited to, protective measure, reporting for duty, quarantine, and returning to work.
Social distancing and covering the face, specifically, the mouth and nose to prevent the spread of viral aerosols, are avenues to limit the spread of the virus. In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to protect all personnel, Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) has directed that all contractor personnel comply with the practices that have been recommended by the CDC, including, but not limited to washing your hands, not touching your face, and social distancing.
In accordance with the 28 July 2021 Department of Defense memorandum, Updated Mask Guidance for all DoD Installations and Other Facilities, effective immediately ANAD employees, tenant employees, contractor employees, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, must wear masks when indoors (including government vehicle) in any group setting, i.e.
more than a single person.
Additionally, Service members, Federal employees, onsite contractors employees, and visitors who are not fully vaccinated also need to continue to physically distance consistent with applicable CDC and DoD Force Health Protection guidance.
Sincerely, David J. Bunt Director of Contracting
