About this file

This Statement of Work defines requirements for the 60th Maintenance Squadron (60 MXS/MXMCE) to procure a 500-gallon Liquid Oxygen (LOX) trailer manufactured by Essex Industries (Part Number 50C-0115-1), identified as a Brand Name or Equal request. The trailer is required to support aircraft LOX converters, Next-Gen Patient Therapeutic LOX Converters, and 50-gallon LOX carts, with particular emphasis on enhancing servicing capability during austere and deployed locations where logistics support is currently constrained.

The contractor must deliver a trailer-mounted, tow-capable unit meeting specific technical requirements including 500-gallon capacity, 50 PSIG normal operating pressure, annular space vacuum less than 10 microns, tank pressure relief valve actuating at 65 PSIG, and safety rupture disc relieving at 98 PSIG. The unit must incorporate a static grounding reel with clamp or mounting position and transportation anchor points, and must comply with Air Force specification PD13WEGRVEA05 and MIL-STD-810. Deliverables include training for 25 end-users on operational procedures and 25 Electrical and Environmental Systems Technicians on service and maintenance, a 12-month equipment warranty, and all freight, handling, and labor charges. The point of contact for post-award coordination is TSgt Adam Strandness at 60 MXS, 707-424-2295.

Statement of Work

For

60 MXS/MXMCE

Description: The 60th MXS requires a 500-gallon Liquid Oxygen (LOX) trailer. This trailer has a myriad of purposes, including but not limited to: Serving aircraft LOX converters, Next-Gen Patient Therapeutic LOX Converters, and 50-gallon LOX carts. Moreover, it greatly increases servicing capability while deployed in austere locations due to its mobility (e.g. When the C-17s staged out of Panama in Nov 2024, they took two pre-filled 50-gallon LOX carts and had to received new carts through the duration of the deployment due to lack of servicing capability). Without this asset, logistics will continue to be affected due to prioritizing locations with servicing capability. This is a Brand Name or Equal request.
