About this file

This is a Department of the Navy solicitation (N0010426RK030) for two types of cartridge actuated devices used in military aircraft ejection seat systems: the JAU-74/A Cartridge Actuated Initiator (WB15) and the CCU-146/A Impulse Cartridge (WB16). The solicitation is a firm fixed-price contract with a total quantity of 148 WB15 and 405 WB16 units, intended for use in NACES, F-18, and T-45 aircraft. The procurement is restricted to Martin Baker Aircraft Company and includes production lot test samples, with deliveries scheduled between 345-405 calendar days from contract award.

The solicitation involves multiple Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases for different countries including the United Kingdom, Australia, and other unspecified nations. The cartridges are classified as critical safety items with specific national stock numbers (1377-015046606 for WB15 and 1377-014707659 for WB16). Each lot includes additional test and investigative units, with pricing arranged as firm fixed price. The contract requires detailed configuration control, unique item identification, and compliance with specific military standards and specifications, including extensive documentation and testing requirements for each production lot.
