About this file
This Addendum No. 1 is issued by the Maryland Environmental Service for the Stevenson University WWTP Raw Sewage Hauling project (MES Project ID No: 1-26-2-04-5), dated August 6, 2025. The addendum addresses questions from potential bidders regarding a raw sewage hauling contract with an estimated 600 loads, with bids due August 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms, and the document clarifies operational and pricing requirements for the hauling services.
The addendum confirms that unit pricing applies to all loads hauled regardless of quantity, as the 600-load estimate in the contract is not a fixed amount. Additionally, there are no dump fees associated with this contract, as all loads must be transported exclusively to Freedom WWTP for treatment. All bidders are required to include any cost impacts from these clarifications in their bid submissions, and the addendum becomes part of the official contract documents.

STEVENSON UNIVERSITY WWTP RAW SEWAGE HAULING
MES PROJECT ID NO: 1-26-2-04-5
ADDENDUM NO. 1
BID DUE DATE: August 27, 2025
BID DUE TIME: 1:00 PM
TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
Please note the following changes presented herein in connection with the above-referenced project and be governed accordingly. The prospective Bidders shall acknowledge on the Bid Form the receipt of Addendum No. 1. This addendum is hereby made a part of the Contract Documents of which the contract will be based and is issued to modify, explain, and/or correct the original Contract Documents. All Bidders shall include any cost impact in their bids.
ITEM 1: QUESTIONS FROM POTENTIAL BIDDERS
Q1: Going by the contract what if hauling is more than the estimated roughly 600 loads?
Would invoicing still go by the unit price? Would we still get paid if hauling is more than the estimated number in contract?
A1: Unit price applies to all loads hauled, regardless of number of loads. Quantity stated in the contract is an estimate.
Q2: Are we to include dump fees in our unit pricing? Are the haulers to pay for the dump fees or MES?
A2: There is no dump fee. All loads to be taken only to Freedom WWTP for treatment.
