About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the City of Lubbock's Purchasing and Contract Management department for Rabies Tags for Lubbock Animal Services. The solicitation is for the manufacturing and stamping of 42,000 aluminum tags, with 37,300 tags to be individually stamped with each veterinary clinic's information on the front and Lubbock Animal Services information on the back, and 4,700 tags to be stamped only on the front. The tags are specified to be constructed from 0.050" orange aluminum, oval-shaped with a 1/8" hole, and delivered within 40-45 days after bid award. The contract term is one year, with options for two additional one-year extensions, and will automatically renew unless either party provides 90-day written notice to terminate.

The RFQ includes detailed specifications for tag design, packaging, and stamping requirements, with individual clinics receiving different tag quantities as agreed between Animal Services and the clinics. The document outlines various legal certifications required for bidders, including compliance with Texas Government Code sections related to boycotts of Israel, energy companies, and firearm entities. Additional tag orders should be honored at the initial quoted price. The solicitation emphasizes that the City of Lubbock reserves the right to award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder or the bidder providing the best value, with payment potentially made via MasterCard purchasing card. The tags are for the 2026 city license year and will be used by local veterinary clinics when administering rabies vaccinations.
