About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding third party insurance eligibility verification requirements for the Catawba Indian Health Service site. The site requires real-time eligibility verification for 40-50 patients per day, and needs the ability to look up historical eligibility responses, search for additional patient insurance nationally when insurance cards are not present, and print or save eligibility responses. They do not require batch eligibility capabilities, ANSI X12 EDI file creation or reading capabilities, or automatic downloading of eligibility information to the local network.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of Health and Human Services Indian Health Service seeking third party insurance verification services to meet the requirements for the Catawba IHS site as described in the questions and answers.
