About this file
This document contains market research questions from the Social Security Administration for sources sought regarding alterations and repairs construction services. The SSA is seeking general construction contractors that are small businesses or qualified small disadvantaged, women-owned, veteran-owned, or HUBZone businesses. The questions ask respondents to provide details on their construction capabilities across various trades, staffing, experience on both public and private sector projects, safety plans, and ability to perform work on evenings and weekends with an onsite supervisor. Respondents are also asked for the percentage of time they use subcontractors and how those subcontractors are selected and monitored. The related federal contract opportunity provides additional context, with the SSA seeking information to identify qualified sources for building alterations and repairs at its Baltimore headquarters and a Frederick County location.
