N0016422DJN02 – SOURCES SOUGHT – PROCUREMENT - Upper Receiver Group

Improved (URG-I) – PSC 1005 – NAICS 332994

Issue Date: 5 OCT 2026 – Closing Date: 19 OCT 2026 – 2:00 PM EDT

SOURCES SOUGHT:

In accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement Procedures, Guidance, and Information (DFARS PGI) 206.302-1, the Government is issuing this Sources Sought announcement as part of its market research. This Sources Sought announcement is intended to determine the availability and technical capability of businesses to provide the required supplies.

The Government intends to extend the ordering period of the current contract, with no increase to the contract’s value, to the current contract holder.

BACKGROUND:

Currently, NSWC Crane supports the fielding and operational readiness of the URG-I configuration utilizing the Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract N0016422DJN02 with Daniel Defense LLC. The current program baseline relies on the following specialized components:

• CLIN 0001: 14.5" M4 Barrel with Mid-Length gas system (with gas block assembly) in accordance with Salient Characteristics requirement; Firm Fixed Price for each; FOB

Destination; Inspection and Acceptance at NSWC Crane; Delivery 90 days after order.

• CLIN 0002: 11.5" M4 Barrel with Carbine Length gas system (with gas block assembly) in accordance with Salient Characteristics requirement; Firm Fixed Price for each; FOB

Destination; Inspection and Acceptance at NSWC Crane; Delivery 90 days after order.

• CLIN 0003: 14.5" M4 Barrel with Mid-Length gas system (with gas block assembly) and Mid-Length Gas Tube and Roll Pin in accordance with Salient Characteristics requirement; Firm Fixed Price for each; FOB Destination; Inspection and Acceptance at

NSWC Crane; Delivery 90 days after order.

• CLIN 0004: Mid-Length Gas Tube with Roll Pin in accordance with Salient

Characteristics requirement; FOB Destination; Inspection and Acceptance at NSWC

Crane; Delivery 90 days after order.

To prevent a lapse in critical operational support, repeat of the rigorous testing process and significant financial burden while next-generation development is completed, NSWC Crane intends to execute a Period of Performance (PoP) extension of the current contract. This extension will sustain fielding requirements while the Government finalizes testing on an updated configuration. There will be no increase to the value of the currently-awarded contract.
