About this file

This document set comprises product specification sheets and technical data for industrial cables and connector coating systems.

The AmerCable 37-119 Flexible Power Cable (DLO) is a single-conductor portable power cable rated for 2000 volts at 90°C, manufactured in sizes from 14 AWG to 1111 kcmil. The cable features flexible-stranded, tin-coated annealed copper conductors with ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) insulation and a flame-retardant, oil and sunlight-resistant chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) outer jacket. It is rated RHH and RHW-2 for sizes 2/0 and higher and is UL listed for sunlight resistance and marine shipboard cable use (4/0 and larger, special order only). The cable meets flame resistance standards FT-4/IEEE1202 and UL VW-1, complies with UL 1685 smoke release requirements (marked ST-1), and meets hazardous waste regulations per 40 CFR 261 for characteristic lead content. Ampacity ratings range from 35 amps (14 AWG) to 1119 amps (1111 kcmil). AmerCable offers factory-installed connector options to reduce installation time and costs. Contact information: (870) 862-4919, (800) 643-1516, or fax (870) 862-9613.

The LSTHOF-150 is a three-conductor cable with 3/0 AWG bare copper conductors (760 strands of 0.0140 strand size), rated 180 amps at 50°C, featuring EPR insulation and halogen-free, low-smoke (LSZH) cross-linked polyolefin (XLPO) jacket with a maximum outside diameter of 1.820 inches. TRI Applied Technologies' NCC 209™ is a next-generation, two-component modified epoxy metal pretreatment system (35 mils ± 10 mils thickness) developed for the U.S. Navy to prevent cathodic delamination of submarine connectors. The system reduces VOC exposure, offers improved reliability at lower cost, and is applicable to harsh industrial, subsea, and down-hole environments. TRI NCC 209™

Recently developed by TRI for the U.S. Navy to fight cathodic delamination (premature bond failure) of submarine connectors, TRI’s NCC 209™ ’s metal pretreatment system is ideal for use in harsh environments such as industrial, subsea and down-hole operations. NCC 209™ firmly adheres rubbers to metals so they can survive chemical exposure and high-pressure, extreme temperature conditions.

In independent third part testing, the new NCC 209™ out performs all other NCC systems in standard overmolds with peel strengths well beyond any previously seen. The result is a bond that can survive the harshest corrosive environments over an extended service life.

NEW OVERMOLD SYSTEM

•New NCC (Non-Conductive Coating) for both Navy and commercial applications
•Reduces exposure to harmful VOC’s and hazardous materials
•Reduces the number of failure points that exist in the currently approved overmold systems
•Increased reliability, reduced costs, improved application methods

NCC 209 SPECIFICATIONS

•2 component modified epoxy
•Thickness is 35 mils + or -10 mils
•Max temperature in process is 130C
•Standard undercut request is 10 mils
•Indefinite shelf life if stored correctly
•Cleaning and prep standard solvents are acceptable

TRI NCC 209™

TRI Next Generation NCC provides:

• Improved cathodic protection

• Ease of processing

• Applicable to NLOS locations

• Lower cost

• Higher density (less porosity)
