About this file

This is a Product Description document for a federal procurement of RF detection equipment. The Government is procuring five (5) Yorkie PRO Cell Phone Detectors manufactured by Berkeley Varitronics Systems (part number 0060-YORKPRO), with accessories to support security operations in sensitive environments that process Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and classified data. The devices are intended for use in areas associated with advanced naval vessel maintenance, modernization, and repair, where unauthorized wireless transmissions and miniaturized personal electronic devices present security vulnerabilities not adequately mitigated through procedural controls alone.

The Yorkie PRO must meet specific minimum specifications for portable RF detection, including detection capabilities for active cellular signals (4G-LTE, 5G), Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz), Bluetooth, and GPS tracker signals. Performance requirements include frequency range coverage from 600 MHz to 3800 MHz, minimum detection range of 150 feet indoors and up to 0.5 mile outdoors, receiver sensitivity of -90 dBm or better, dynamic range of 70 dB minimum, and selectivity rejection better than 40 dB. The device must be portable and handheld with maximum dimensions of 5.5" x 3.0" x 1.25", feature a minimum 2.4" sunlight-readable color TFT touchscreen display, include a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery providing 3–4 hours of continuous operation with an AC-powered charging dock, and provide both silent vibrating alerts for covert operations and visible LED indicators. All necessary accessories including charging cables and protective carrying case must be included. Required delivery date is August 15, 2026, to SWRMC IT Division in San Diego, California, Attention: Ryan Swanson. Packaging must include an itemized material listing and delivery location information.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Procurement of Yorkie PRO Cell Phone Detector

The Yorkie PRO Cell Phone Detector is a portable electronic detection system intended for use in secure environments where unauthorized wireless transmissions present a security risk. It is designed to detect active cell phones, hidden GPS trackers, and unauthorized Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals.

The device supports operations conducted in areas that process Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and classified data, including environments associated with the maintenance, modernization, and repair of advanced naval vessels and related combat, communication, and engineering systems. In these settings, the presence of miniaturized personal electronic devices (PEDs) and wireless transmitters can create vulnerabilities that are not fully mitigated through procedural controls alone, such as policy enforcement or device drop-boxes.

The Yorkie PRO provides a portable, high-sensitivity capability for active sweeping and monitoring of secure spaces to identify unauthorized RF emissions. Procurement consists of five (5) Yorkie PRO cell phone detectors with accessories to support security requirements in sensitive operational
