About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document addressing clarifications on the Watch Care Services pre-solicitation notice (Solicitation Number 26P4000) issued by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Hood for services at Fort Hood, Texas. The document clarifies that specific core support hours beyond the standard Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday schedule, as well as the expected number of attending youngsters, will be provided upon solicitation posting rather than before quote submission. The document confirms that the Watch Care Coordinator role may be split between two individuals, with one handling off-site scheduling, documentation, and RSO liaison duties while the other provides on-site supervision and inspection. Additionally, the Period of Performance, originally scheduled to begin April 1, 2026, is subject to change. The Q&A references the labor-hour contract type as defined in FAR 16.602 and notes that further details regarding additional pre-scheduled times and dates will be provided during the formal solicitation phase.
