About this file
This is a Purchase Description for a Dedicated 10,000 psi Oxygen Clean System (DOCS) for the Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program. The system is a pneumatic pressure calibrator with a transducer/digital gauge-based design that will generate and control gas pressures between 600 to 10,000 psig using Ultra High-Purity Clean Dry Nitrogen. Key technical requirements include oxygen clean certification to ASTM G93/G93M Level A standards, ±0.05% full scale uncertainty, resolution of one-tenth uncertainty, and the ability to operate in temperatures between 60°F to 80°F with 20-50% relative humidity.
The DOCS must be no larger than 24 inches on any side, weigh under 75 pounds, and include a pneumatically operated gas booster capable of boosting pressure from 800 psi to 10,000 psi. Additional specifications mandate an alpha-numeric display, user-serviceable electrical protection, reusable waterproof shipping cases, and a two-year warranty. The system requires a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) operator's manual with component listings, calibration procedures, and system block diagrams. The Air Force will inspect and test the system using equipment traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to ensure all performance requirements are met.
