The solicitation covers external corrosion control and protective coating services for County-owned storage tank systems containing petroleum products including gasoline, diesel fuel, diesel exhaust fluid, and motor oil across 152 aboveground and underground storage tanks ranging from 50 to 30,000 gallons in capacity. Services required include corrosion removal, surface preparation, protective coating application, and related maintenance on an as-needed basis for tanks located throughout Sarasota County at various facilities managed by General Services, Public Utilities, Emergency Services, Sheriff's Office, Parks and Recreation, Solid Waste, and Stormwater departments. The anticipated initial contract term is three years, with the bid submission deadline of April 8, 2026, and submissions required electronically through the OpenGov Procurement portal.

All work is warranted for one year or the manufacturer's standard warranty, whichever is greater. Local and American business preferences do not apply to this procurement due to grant funding requirements, no specific set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises are indicated, and the successful contractor will not be eligible for award of the related solicitation (IFQ #262825MKM) for Petroleum Storage Tank Testing and Inspection Services. Contractors must comply with OSHA regulations, EPA environmental requirements, and CJIS background check requirements, and must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate), Business Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit), and Pollution Liability ($1,000,000 per claim/occurrence).
