About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) document is issued by the California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) to solicit vendor input regarding the provision of intramuscular (IM) compound clozapine services across DSH's statewide hospital system. The RFI seeks to understand the marketplace capabilities and cost structures of potential contractors who can provide this pharmaceutical compounding service to support patient care. The DSH intends to use responses from this RFI to establish a bidder pool for a future formal solicitation. Interested vendors are invited to review and respond to the RFI, though specific response deadlines, site visit requirements, and bidders' conference details should be verified within the document itself.
The RFI represents a preliminary market assessment phase rather than a binding procurement, allowing DSH to gather information about vendor capabilities, service delivery models, and pricing approaches before issuing a formal request for proposals or bids. Responders should be qualified vendors with demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical compounding, specifically in preparing intramuscular clozapine compounds. The ultimate goal is to establish qualified contractor relationships to serve DSH's patient care needs, with pricing terms, contract duration, and specific service requirements to be determined through the subsequent formal solicitation process.
