About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Blast Booth to be installed at the Fleet Readiness Center in Kinston, North Carolina. The comprehensive system includes a 70' L x 28' W x 29' H blast booth with multiple integrated components: a dust collection system, ventilation system, media recovery system, fire suppression system, compressed air systems, and industrial dust control vacuum system. The blast booth is specifically designed for blasting operations involving aluminum, titanium, magnesium, and stainless-steel materials, and is classified as Class 2 Division 1 with explosion-proof requirements.
The SOW details extensive technical specifications for each system component, including requirements for air showers, breathing air connections, media metering, blast hoses, and nozzles. The procurement includes comprehensive training for operators, maintenance personnel, and hazardous waste operations staff, with each training segment lasting three consecutive eight-hour workdays. The contractor is responsible for full installation, testing, and documentation, with specific quality assurance inspections to be conducted at both the contractor's facility and the destination site. The system must comply with multiple federal standards, including OSHA, NFPA, and military specifications, and will be equipped with advanced control systems using Allen Bradley components and PanelView interfaces.
