About this file

This is Addendum No. 2 issued on January 27, 2025, by Kenosha County and InSite Consulting Architects for the 2025 Kenosha County Kemper Center Building Envelope Restoration Project. The addendum addresses contractor questions regarding storm windows and painting specifications. Specifically, it clarifies requirements for 5 new storm windows under alternate bid 1 (Keynote 13) and 9 new storm windows under base bid (Keynote 5), stating that while there are no formal specifications, contractors must match existing design, material, configuration, and paint color.

The addendum provides important clarification on the painting scope, explaining that Keynote 4 (base bid) includes painting of wood window frames as described on sheets A11 and A12, while Keynote 14 (Alternate #2) specifically refers to the exterior painting of wood window sashes only. No pricing terms or funding details are included in this addendum.

Contractor Questions:

ANSWER: There is no specification for the storm windows. However, the intent is to match the existing design, material, and configuration as closely as possible. It will be up to the contractor to propose a product that meets these requirements. The storm window shall also be painted to match the color of the existing storm window.

2. Keynote 5 (base bid), there are 9 new storm windows to be provided. There is no spec I can find or detail. Can you provide this information.

ANSWER: There is no specification for the storm windows. However, the intent is to match the existing design, material, and configuration as closely as possible.
